Fat transfer, lipostructure or lipofilling
With the passage of time, our faces gradually lose some volume. The fatty tissue atrophies, the bones become more fragile and the skin sags. Some areas such as the temples and cheekbones gradually become hollow, producing dark circles under the eyes, depressed temporal fossae and marked grooves. Fat transfer in the face softens the contours and has a notable firming and rejuvenating effect on the skin. It may be used on the face and on other parts of the body, for example, for breast or buttocks augmentation. The fat is removed using a similar technique to liposuction and is then washed and purified. The use of fat from the same patient means there is no risk of rejection, unlike other injectable products.
