Ulthera® is a “high tech” device approved by the FDA that allows for deep tightening of the face and smoothing of the décolleté without affecting the integrity of the skin’s surface.

It is a non-invasive method by which focused ultrasound is sent deep into the skin to stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin.

This non-surgical technique has no impact on your social and professional activities, which you can resume after the treatment without redness or bruising.

Ulthera® focuses ultrasound energy on layers up to 4.5 mm deep to act on the same anatomical plane generally targeted during a surgical facelift (SMAS muscle).

Stimulated by this energy, the muscle layer contracts, and collagen and elastin synthesis in the skin are stimulated, creating a lifting effect in the treated area.

Ulthera® was the pioneer in HIFU technology and is the only device approved by the FDA, guaranteeing safety and effectiveness. The major difference compared to competitors is that the practitioner has a continuous ultrasound image of the skin, ensuring the correct placement of the energy delivered by the device. With Ulthera®, we target the muscle layer (SMAS) and the deep part of the dermis. The depth of these layers varies from patient to patient, and the unique skin layer visualization technology of Ulthera® ensures optimal treatment.

With competing HIFU devices, the practitioner does not have an ultrasound image of the skin, and the treatment is performed “blindly,” which can result in unsatisfactory outcomes.

As we age, our skin loses its tone and elasticity, resulting in visible sagging.

Ultherapy® is a treatment to consider when the skin shows some laxity, appearing less firm. A reduced brow line or sagging eyelids, for example, are often one of the first signs of aging. Depending on the areas to be treated, an Ulthera® session can last between 30 minutes (eyebrow lift) and 1.5 hours (full face and neck).

The discomfort felt during the ultrasound treatment is temporary. It is related to the release of energy and heat, which indicates the initiation of the treatment process.

Since pain thresholds vary greatly from one patient to another, do not hesitate to discuss this point with your doctor. Generally, we recommend taking an anti-inflammatory dose before the treatment. In cases of more significant discomfort, we can accompany the treatment with MEOPA (laughing gas), a sedative, or a stronger pain reliever.

Ulthera® is a device that allows very targeted ultrasounds to be sent into various layers of the skin. This non-invasive, non-surgical technique enables resumption of activities after the treatment.

After the procedure, slight redness of the skin may appear for a few hours in the treated area.

A mild swelling, slight tingling, or sensitivity to touch may also be observed for a few days.
