Microneedling

Microneedling is a cosmetic skin treatment that rejuvenates and firms your skin by stimulating your own cells to produce new collagen and elastin molecules. The method involves making multiple micro-perforations on the surface of your skin, which then trigger a healing process using your body’s own cells. These micro-lesions are virtually invisible to the naked eye, and are induced by a small device equipped with a series of micro-needles that are passed over the surface of the epidermis.

The effect of the treatment is further enhanced by combining this aesthetic medicine treatment with the application of a blend of vitamin complexes and trace elements specially designed for the skin, as well as a natural hyaluronic acid to promote hydration of the dermis (Aquagold).

Microneedling is designed for patients wishing to improve the appearance of their skin. It is particularly indicated for acne scars, stretch marks and mature scars. It is also recommended for reducing superficial wrinkles, tightening dilated pores and unifying skin tone and texture.

Microneedling can be used to treat different parts of the body. Most often, it is used to improve and even out the face, neck or décolleté. The technique can also be used on other areas such as the back, arms or legs, to correct stretch marks or scars.

Microneedling treatment does not require hospitalization. It takes place during a consultation at one of our Leman Aesthetic Clinic centers and lasts around 30 minutes. Depending on the area to be treated, an anesthetic ointment may be applied to minimize discomfort. The surgeon uses a micro-needling device. Passed over the skin’s surface, it creates tiny perforations that stimulate the dermis’ natural healing process.

The number of sessions varies according to skin type and desired effect. For radiance and smoothing, 1 to 3 sessions are sufficient. For the treatment of acne scars or stretch marks, 3 to 5 treatments may be required. Appointments are generally 2 to 3 weeks apart. Our specialists will advise you and draw up a personalized protocol with you.

No time off work is required. You may experience some redness for 24 to 48 hours. Avoid exposure to the sun for 1 week.
