Penoplasty

Penoplasty is a surgical procedure aimed at modifying the size and/or circumference of the penis.

Lengthening phalloplasty involves cutting a ligament at the base of the pubis to release the penis and increase its length.

Enlargement penoplasty, performed by injecting autologous fat (lipofilling or lipomodeling) or fillers (hyaluronic acid), increases the diameter of the penis. These procedures are performed for aesthetic reasons and can help improve body image, self-confidence, and sexuality.

Intimate surgery is for patients who desire a more aesthetic genital anatomy and better sexual comfort. Patients’ motivations can vary. The appearance of the genital organs can be crucial for a fulfilling sexuality. Thus, men dissatisfied with the size or appearance of their penis, whether due to physical discomfort or lack of self-confidence, can benefit from lengthening or augmentation penoplasty. Phalloplasty is an aesthetic procedure. Penoplasty does not increase sexual performance; it aims to improve self-confidence and the discomfort one might feel when undressed in front of another person (locker rooms, medical exams, intimacy, etc.).

It is not indicated for individuals with functional disorders. Urologists treat function-related issues (erection or other).

The penoplasty procedure at Leman Aesthetic Clinic lasts between 30 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the type of procedure performed. It is done under local or general anesthesia, according to the surgeon’s recommendations. This operation does not require hospitalization, allowing patients to go home the same day. A time off work of 24 to 48 hours is usually sufficient.

The recovery after a penoplasty is generally not very painful, but there may be some discomfort. Painkillers are prescribed for the first few days, and sometimes a treatment to reduce the intensity of erections is given. Always reversible, it preserves the results of the penoplasty. Post-operatively, the penis may have bruising and swelling. These are harmless and gradually subside within 15 days. It is recommended to avoid sexual intercourse for 2 to 4 weeks to allow for proper recovery. No bandage is required after the procedure, but it is recommended to wear loose boxers initially for better comfort. The areas where fat was harvested may also be swollen and bruised for several days. Finally, it is advised to wait 1 to 2 months before resuming activities such as motorcycling, cycling, or horseback riding. By following these guidelines, you ensure optimal recovery and satisfactory results.

In the case of enlargement penoplasty, patients should wait about 3 months to fully appreciate the results. This time allows for healing, stabilization of the injected fat, and disappearance of swelling. On average, this procedure can increase the circumference of the penis by 2 to 3 cm at rest, with a slightly less visible result when erect. It is important to note that this procedure does not affect the size of the glans and that the scars are practically invisible, offering a natural and durable result.

In the case of lengthening phalloplasty, the effects are visible about a month after the procedure. The scar hidden in the pubic hair may remain red for a few weeks. The increase in penis length can vary from 1.5 to 3 cm at rest, depending on individual anatomy. It is important to note that the lengthening only applies to the penis at rest and does not affect its size when erect. These results are permanent and offer great satisfaction to patients.
