Breast augmentation
Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the volume and beauty of the chest.
Our procedures
At Leman Aesthetic Clinic, we offer various techniques tailored to meet each patient’s unique expectations and requirements, including :
What is breast augmentation?
It improves not only the size of the breasts but also their shape and firmness, helping enhance or restore body proportions. It is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic surgeries, with a very high satisfaction rate.
Who is a candidate for breast augmentation?
Ideal candidates include women who :
- Have small breasts even after genetic development (hypotrophy)
- Present breast malformations or asymmetry (e.g., tuberous breasts)
- Have “deflated” breasts following significant weight loss or pregnancy
- Seek a more balanced and attractive silhouette, feeling more confident in their body
Techniques for breast augmentation
We currently offer three effective and recognized methods :
- Breast implants
- Lipofilling (autologous fat transfer)
- Composite augmentation (combining implants and fat transfer)
Additional concurrent adjustments may include :
- Breast lift for sagging breasts (mastopexy)
- Fat removal from underarm area (axillary liposuction)
- Nipple and areola reshaping
Implant augmentation
Breast implants vary according to :
- Shape : round or anatomical (“teardrop”)
- Shell : smooth, textured, or polyurethane foam
- Filling : silicone gel, saline, or lightweight silicone (B‑Lite)
- Volume : sized according to desired outcome and patient physique
Implants can be placed :
- Above or below the pectoral muscle, or in a dual plane
- Via incisions: inframammary fold, periareolar border, or axillary
Every choice, implant type, placement, and incision, has advantages and drawbacks, which your surgeon will discuss based on your anatomy and goals. Implants are subject to wear and may need replacement after roughly 10 to 15 years, though modern implants often do not require routine replacement.
Autologous augmentation by fat transfer
This method can modestly increase breast size – typically one cup size per procedure, using your own fat. Fat is removed from areas like the abdomen, thighs, or flanks and injected into the breasts. After an initial 3 month absorption phase, the remaining fat integrates permanently. Multiple sessions may be needed depending on the desired volume.
Advantages :
- No prosthesis, no need for implant replacement
- Visually and tactilely natural results
- Minimal scarring (millimetric incisions)
- Great for correcting asymmetry
- Body contouring is an added benefit
Disadvantages :
- Maximum gain : about half to one cup size per session
- Results vary due to fat absorption (~40% absorption)
- Requires sufficient donor fat
- Follow-up imaging required
Composite augmentation
This combines implants and fat transfer, offering natural yet impressive results in a single surgery. A moderate-sized implant provides volume and projection, while fat smooths the implant edges for a natural feel. It is a safe, reliable technique less affected by fat absorption than fat-only augmentation.

Type of anesthesia
Generally performed under general anesthesia, though local anesthesia with intravenous sedation may be an option in select cases. The procedure lasts 1 to 2 hours.

Recovery time
- Return to work : 3 days to 2 weeks
- Resume sports : 4 to 6 weeks (until swelling subsides)
