With extensive experience in complex microsurgical reconstructions, Dr. Zaugg served as Head of Department in the Plastic Surgery Unit of the Valais Hospitals for six years. He played a key role in the development of the Breast Center at the Valais Hospital and opened a dedicated breast consultation service at the hospital in Visp.
In collaboration with Dr. Schertenleib, he participated in the humanitarian missions of Atacora Valais, supporting hospitals in Tanguiéta (Benin) and Afagnan (Togo). The aim was to assist local medical teams, bring specific surgical skills, and contribute to the training of doctors in surgical techniques.
Humble and meticulous by nature, he developed an aesthetic surgery consultation within the Plastic Surgery Department in close collaboration with Dr. Espinoza. Passionate and enthusiastic, he continues to refine his skills in aesthetic surgery through international training programs and congresses, in order to offer his patients the most advanced techniques.
Dr. Zaugg also maintains a hospital-based practice as an accredited plastic surgeon at the Valais Hospital.
